Former President Donald Trump made an impromptu appearance at PubKey, a Bitcoin-oriented pub close to New York University, where he bought fans burgers and demonstrated his appreciation for Bitcoin. Although a few boos and shouts of ‘loser’ were waiting for him as he stepped in, that has changed in the dark crammed bar, to a cacophony of both Trump’s supporters and Bitcoiners clapping.
“Who wants a burger?” Trump asked as he started looking around. The purpose of the feeding was to further gain support and not just votes from the lovers of cryptocurrency because apart from his calls for elections, he has been actively pushing for World Liberty Financial together with his sons. This initiative seeks to build a banking alternative based on the concept of decentralized finance.
“Cost of Trump’s food and drinks was up to almost thousand dollars on PubKey co founder Drew Armstrong.” “It is worthy,” Ahrens recalls, “that the ex-president paid the check using Bitcoin through a payments application called Strike that submits to the Lightning Network.” This marked what could under the circumstances of the time be of historical significance as the bar used the Zaprite application to process the payment for the Whisky that was donated in Bitcoin. But Pacchia, a co-founder of PubKey rather muted it saying: “This is probably the first instance that a president after office purchased goods, services, with Bitcoin.”
Donald Trump’s Bitcoin Impact
Thomas encouraged the audience by explaining why the event was so important calling it “huge” and “iconic” for the Bitcoin community. “This is an ex president, a prospective future president, this is very much the coming of age of the bitcoin community,” he continued. The Russia based PubKey website that actively holds cryptocurrency educational events also has a bitcoin “shrine”.
This Cross Step was included in the Uppercut of Trump among other voters – in this case target group crypto-holders. Earlier in the year, he was the headline speaker during the Bitcoin 2024 which took place in Nashville and in that event, promised the voters to use the power of the state to appoint people who will look after cryptocurrency and create an arsenal of Bitcoin. He had also very recently launched World Liberty Financial, what is looking to do the even against conventional banks ETFs.
Every location has their fair share of Trump’s supporters, but this was not the case in this particular area. As he exited the establishment, there was a group of people with signs that read ‘LIAR’ and ‘CONVICTED OF FRAUD’ along with Taylor Swift’s songs in the background. One such member, Jay Walker from the group, Rise and Resist said emphatically, “Each time Trump is in the city, we make sure we have the welcome tent.”
Regardless of the fact that there were protests held from outside the Trump staunch followers swayed many people within Mohi’s inside PubKey Counting Mr. Matt Kita of brand loyalty for a long time. “For people like me, the fact that Trump has expressed a pro-Bitcoin position is great and may make some of the voters convert,” Kita pronounced. This type of regulation, he thinks, can encourage businesses to venture more into the field of cryptocurrency technology.
